Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting is currently looking for fun, loving, reliable, and mature individuals to join our team of dedicated pet care professionals! We are always accepting applications for part-time positions to give love to all of our furry friends. This is NOT an independent contractor position. 

PART-TIME POSTITIONS:

  • Weekday Mid-Day Dog Walker

  • Weekday Early Morning, Mid-Day, or Evening Pet Sitter

  • Weekend Early Morning, Mid-Day, or Evening Pet Sitter

  • Experienced On-Demand Dog Walker/Pet Sitter with flexible hours 

  • Cat Sitter (early morning, evening, and weekend positions)

  • Dog Trainer

FULL-TIME POSITIONS:

  • Assistant Pet Care Team Leader

  • Pet Care Team Leader

  • Assistant Pet Care Manager

  • Pet Care Manager

WHAT WE OFFER:

COMPENSATION:

  • Paid training

  • Competitive starting pay (depends on experience) paid weekly

  • We pay you by the service

  • Base + mileage reimbursement + cell phone stipend + 100% tips. (pet care team members~$19-$22+/hr; Dog trainers ~varies based on service)

  • Depending on your availability, our part time dog walkers/pet sitters make between $50-$500+/week

  • You can make extra money if you are also willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays

  • This is a part-time job to start

  • Your schedule is based on client need

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must love dogs and cats and their owners

  • Must have your own reliable car with valid driver's license and automobile insurance

  • Must live in a city within a 15 minute drive to Waltham, Belmont, or Watertown

  • Must be flexible with schedule and willing to add visits with short notice

  • Occasional evening or weekend hours for client Meet and Greets may be necessary

  • Must have a clean criminal background (criminal/background check required)

  • Must be detail orientated

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to follow pet care instructions exactly as written

  • Must have a smart phone with email and ability to use our scheduling app

Thank you for taking the time to read this ad thoroughly. If you answer all of the questions in our application, have the availability we are currently looking for, and live in our service area, we will contact you to to set up a phone interview as the first step of our interview process. 

If we think we are a good fit for each other, the next step is to set up a zoom interview with one of our Managers. If that interview goes well, we set up a second interview with another Managers. If both of your interviews go well, we start to call 3-4 of your references and run your background check. You must agree to and pass a thorough background check and reference check prior to employment. 

Once hired, we want to make sure you have all of the skills and tools necessary in order to be successful in your job. You are required to complete 2+ hours of on-boarding/training/shadowing with the Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting owner, 10+ hours of online training and 15+ hours of hands-on training/shadowing of other dog walkers/pet sitters before you are on your own.
