She took classes at Animal Behavior Institute towards Animal Assisted Therapy, Animal Training and Advanced Feline Training and became a Certified Advanced Feline Training Professional.

Betsy also works to support adults on the Autism Spectrum to live independent lives.

About our Feline Behavior Consulting Services

Compassionate, Certified Support for a Calmer Cat and a Happier Home

Cats are amazing and complex companions and sometimes their behavior leaves us feeling puzzled or stressed. Whether your cat is peeing outside the litter box, hiding under the bed, aggressing towards guests or terrorizing the dog, our feline behavior specialist is here to help restore harmony to your home.

At Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting, we understand that cats are unique, sensitive creatures. That’s why our consulting services focus on creating stress-free, cat-friendly solutions tailored to your cat’s personality and your household’s needs.

What We Can Help With

Our certified feline behavior specialist works with you to address a variety of challenges, including:

  • Litter box issues (peeing or pooping outside the box)

  • Aggression toward humans or other pets

  • Excessive hiding, meowing, or over-grooming

  • Fear, anxiety, or stress around changes in the home

  • Introducing new cats (or other pets) smoothly and safely

  • General enrichment and play strategies for a happier, healthier cat

What to Expect

Our consults are collaborative, compassionate, and completely fear-free:

  1. Behavior History & Assessment: We’ll start with a detailed intake to understand your cat’s environment, health history, and current behavior.

  2. Personalized Plan: We’ll meet with you either in your home or via Zoom, whichever works best for you and your cat, to review your cat’s history, assess the situation, and observe their behavior. During the session, we’ll share practical strategies to get you started right away. Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a written plan with customized strategies to support your cat’s emotional and physical needs, plus helpful resources to guide you forward.

  3. Ongoing Support: We offer follow-up options and check-ins to help you stay on track and celebrate your cat’s progress.

Why Choose Us

We don’t want to just “fix” the behavior. We want to help build better relationships between cats and their people. Our approach is:

  • Fear-Free & Force-Free: Gentle, positive techniques that respect your cat’s comfort level

  • Customized: Solutions designed for your unique home environment

  • Supportive: Guidance and encouragement every step of the way

Feline Consulting Options

Behavior challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. The first step is to schedule a phone consultation with Angela to see if we’re the right fit for your needs. If it feels like a good match, we’ll then send you a detailed assessment form to help us better understand your cat’s behavior and environment before your consultation with our Feline Behavior Specialist. Together, we’ll take the first step toward a calmer, happier home for you and your cat.

"The most reliable, available, thorough, detail-oriented and kind team of sitters..."

“Angela and her team at Pawsitive Pet Sitting are simply the best. I have tried many pet sitters over the years, and they are far and above the most reliable, available, thorough, detail-oriented and kind team of sitters - and my kitty loves them! It gives me great peace of mind when I'm away, as I always return home to a happy, relaxed (and very clean) pet!”
